Alex is the author of Ecologies of the Soul (UMI, 2012) and a contributing author to Daimonic Intelligence (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2013). Alex is a transpersonal theorist, trained in the participatory paradigm by Jorge Ferrer. He has a PhD in East-West Psychology and an MA in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Alex is a Certified Massage Therapist (State of California, USA), a certified Chi Nei Tsang practitioner, and an energy-worker, trained in chi gong by Lee Holden.

Alex has been a classroom teacher in a variety of institutions for over 10 years. He is also an international presenter, workshop-leader, and cultural liaison.

Alex is proficient in embodied meditation practices, and has received training in Holistic Transformation from Marina Romero. Alex has facilitated ceremonial work with the deeper levels of the psyche.

Using an original cosmological schema involving the ecologies of nonphysical allies, Alex applies his interpretive skills to analyzing the evolving archetypal formations of the psyche. He has also received training in planetary astrology from Richard Tarnas.

Alex creates talismanic images for use in healing, divination, and the establishment of shrines.
